Man From Siam
A danceable, slightly techno piece with strong vocals and three part
harmony from Trevor, Rué,
and Ralph. The words are cryptic and haunting as the "man"
from,...well Siam... tells his side with some help from his
friends. Full
ensemble of instruments with medium pace.
Choose Love
Smooth and Moody with Latin-like rhythms. The female vocals by Rué
are undeniably sweet and wistful. The message is simple, yet woven
into an intricate fabric of mystical reality. Acoustic and
electric instruments with eerie otherworldly
sub-melodies.
Heaven Reigns
Possibly the most rock oriented piece of "Divining Sanctuary".
This
number is built upon a compliment of guitar, bass, drums, keys
and vocals. The "story" takes us through the age old movement of
people up to a possible future. Shimmering guitar chords, creamy
bass and a tight rhythm.
Swimmers of the Wind
This tune has a full ensemble of instruments ranging from dulcimer, hand
drums to electric guitar. 3 part harmony gives the feeling of a
chorus of spirits, here to mingle joyfully. We are lead through
images of gliding visitors who are glad to see us; as well as
"feet-on-the-ground" human interaction with mother earth. The
rhythms are sometimes middle eastern and primitive Americana at once.
It is offered as a blessing by it's artists.
When Usti Came to Stay
"Usti Achuja" means "Baby Boy" in Cherokee. "Usti" is the
nick-name given to Trevor as a infant. He would light up with his
effortless smiles and willingly share his innocent world with two
hopeless romantics as they strove to honor this gift of childlike love
and light. Writing this song was a labor of love. It's theme
proves to ring true with anyone who has shared the life of a child.
Upbeat tempo, sparse instrumentation with rich vocals.
Now We Know
An instrumental that is a smooth-jazz-like, slightly Latin tune with a
heavier back bone than most light fair. Dazzling guitar and clever
melodies; danceable.
Trance Groove
Just like the title says; this is all groove and totally danceable at a
trance inducing pace of 90 beats per second. Lots of repetition
with echoing variations of guitar, steel drums, bass and drums.
Very Groovy!
Clear Blue
Little did she know when she picked up the guitar in our living room
that we would record it, loop it and add other instruments to create a
flowing, medium paced 3/4 guitar piece perfect for sailing the seas of
imagination. Smoothly layered guitar and base round out this
instrumental to a make moody backdrop to any occasion.
